Conditions set out below apply as soon as booking one or several packages (“Pass”) proposed by “Vélo Vert Festival in Samoëns” organized by Chlorobike :


I – Registration

1.1 Registration is valid as soon as your payment is complete and as soon as you have received confirmation of your booking made on Internet.

1.2. Any registration to “Vélo Vert Festival in Samoëns” implies acceptance of the present regulation and the regulations posted at the entrance and/or departure of each outdoor activity or events (bike riding, tests or challenges).

1.3. “Vélo Vert Festival in Samoëns” proposes mountain bike trails and timed races. It also proposes outdoor leisure activities.

1.4. Outdoor activities are open to children aged of 4 and over.

1.5. Mountain biking activities are open to anyone aged of 4 and over (parental permission required for minors).

1.6. Registration, purchase and reception of a package (called “Pass’”) can only be done by an adult (aged 18 and over)


II – Booking Conditions

2.1. Purchases of Pass for the whole day or the weekend are to perform on the website velovertfestival.com (the “Website”).

2.2. Purchases of Pass for the whole day or weekend are available on site within the limits of available places.

2.3. Registrants will have to recover their Pass on the registration space of  “Vélo Vert Festival in Samöens” located in the reception building of the gondolas (Côte 2000).


III – Terms Of Payment

3.1 Any person booking for one or more other person(s) is severally responsible for the payment of the full amount of the booking.

3.2. Full payment must be made when booking on the velovertfestival.com website.

3.3. All payments can be made by check payable to Vélo Vert Magazine or by credit card – Visa, Eurocard, MasterCard, American Express. Bank transfer or postal money orders are not accepted.


IV – Modifications

The Organization reserves the right to make any changes regarding the present conditions.


V – Request to amend your booking

5.1. Modifications in registration will be accepted on an exceptional basis, until 3 weeks before the event, upon written request and presentation of evidence. We cannot guarantee to respond favourably.

5.2. Exchange package is deemed to occur in the following case only:

– A package extension to the weekend package: a 1-day Vélo Vert Pass exchanged to a 2-day Vélo Vert Pass.

5.3. Requests for modification of a private nature (name, e-mail, etc.) can be sent directly to our Webmaster at the following address: webmaster@velovert.com

5.4. No request for modification will be considered the arrival day at the event.


VI – Application for booking transfer

Every person that need to be replaced by another person – if he/she satisfies all the conditions relating to the contract – shall inform Vélo Vert about this transfer no later than 3 weeks before the event by registered letter with advice of receipt to the following address: Vélo Vert Magazine 15, rue Claude Monet BP 22 78421 Carrières-sur-Seine France. The letter should indicate the following information:
– Your name, family name and address
– Name and address of the person replacing you
– Type of package purchased
– Reservation number and a copy of the confirmation letter or email sent by Vélo Vert Magazine.

After receiving the above-mentioned letter, a confirmation will be sent by Vélo Vert Magazine to the person replacing you. You and the person replacing you are severally liable for payment of the total amount of the package and any costs deriving from the booking transfer (e.g., shipping, etc.).


VII- Cancellation request and refund

Any commitment is firm and final and cannot be refunded for any reason whatsoever.


VIII- Tests Conditions

As part of the testing equipment, the tester will have to take care of materials and equipment that will be loaned to him during his participation in the “Vélo Vert Festival in Samoëns”, to make an appropriate use and more generally, follow the instructions and / or recommendations to be communicate if any, provided within this framework.

In case of loss and / or negligence having caused damages, the tester agrees to the choice of the lender, either replace or refund the damaged equipment and / or materials and lost, and at his expense. In case replacing accepted by the lender, it is understood that it will consist of exactly the same material or equipment than originally lent, which is presumed to be in good working condition

If at any time, the tester has the impression that the equipment and / or materials borrowed does not work properly, he will stop immediately using it and prevent the representative brand  so that it can do a verification and undertake, if necessary, repair or any adjustments.


IX- Using races

Bike and accessories tests are only for, owners of Pass Festival or Premium:Courses test are reserved for :
– Loop Tests X-Country
– Loop Test E-Bike
– Loop Test Gravel
– Loop Test Kids
– Tests Enduro
– Tests DH
– Test GPS (This route can only be used with a test bike, the proposed itineraries by more than 60 minutes)

The Organization reserves the right to remove the passport to anyone who do a bike test on the “GPS track” program of the tests or other not specified above itinerary, this for reasons of availability and MTB rolling tests between participants. The Organization reserves the right to alterations of course and therefore its mileage and / or its altitude without notice.

Access to ski lifts is prohibited for children under 12 without adult accompaniment.

The organizer declines all responsibility in case of no-operation or closure of ski lifts (gondola and chairlift) giving access to the Vélo Vert Festival path in Samoëns.

In consultation with the responsible for the operation of ski lifts and security, the Organization reserves the right to block access to the lifts, if climatic conditions or developments (fog, snow …) could endanger participants.


X – Insurance

10.1. Each participant must have taken a personal insurance, such as a liability insurance.

10.2. In case of an accident caused through the participant’s own action, rescue costs and medical expenses will be borne by the participant’s personal insurance (helicopter and hospitalization in particular). The Organization subscribes, on behalf of participants, an individual accident and care costs guarantee (attach copy of the insurance contract).

10.3. The Organizer takes out an organizer liability insurance. The insured are the Organizer and the volunteers helping for the organization of the event, who are considered as third parties when they do not fulfil the conditions allowing them to benefit from the legislation on work accidents. This insurance also covers accidents caused by participants against spectators.

10.4. The Organizer cannot be held liable in case of loss, theft or damage of equipment (in the case of a bike loan) or individual equipment.


XI- Security rules

11.1. Childrens under 12 must be accompanied by an adult on the various activities. Otherwise, access to the lifts could be particular refused.

11.2. Wearing a rigid helmet meets CE standards and gloves are mandatory, and wearing glasses is advised. On the slopes and downlink tests, protections (helmet, knee, back and elbow pads) are highly recommended and mandatory tests on the tests.

11.3. A minimum necessary to repair is expected: 2 tubes, pumps, patches, chain tool, Allen keys and a first aid kit.

11.4. The weather in mountain is quickly changeable and storms are frequent. So pack warm clothes and a rain jacket. Prevent before to leave if you ride in the track alone in mountain..

11.5. The respect of the Highway code is mandatory when you share the road with cars.

11.6. In case of an accident, prevent signalmen in place and the central station to the emergency number issued locally (on each frame plate, serving as Festival Pass).

 
XII. Behavior on the field

12.1 For their safety, participants must comply with the instructions given by the organisation via staff and volunteers on the ground

12.2 Any abandonment must be reported to the Organization (aid station, fueling station or nearest staff). In the absence of information on the abandonment, the participant must take over the means used for his research.

12.3 Each participant declares to accept risks specific to mountain bike practice and borrow the route proposed that under his own responsibility. 

 
XIII- Accept risks

The participation to the Vélo Vert Festival in Samoëns requires good physical condition, which means that the participant recognizes in particular :

  • Not being on medication affecting his physical and intellectual ability.
  • Not being pregnant or having given birth in less than 6 months ago (see the indications of your doctor in this case).
  • Do not suffer from heart or having joints problems (ankles, knees, tendonitis, ligament, etc.)
  • Have a good knowledge of his physical abilities and limitations,
  • Not being subject to attacks of asthma and epilepsy,
  • Not being under the influence of alcohol and / or substances affecting intellectual or physical capabilities.

The participant agrees, to comply with the instructions and safety rules that could, if necessary, be taught in addition to wear a helmet in all circumstances, to respect the rules of the Highway Code and exercise prudence and judgment in the context of his movements and use of equipment and loaned equipment.

The participant is aware that biking is a hazardous activity that could cause a risk of accidents, injury or death and accepts in full knowledge to bear the risks inherent in this activity. Thus, the participant discharges the company CHLOROBIKE well as other companies and partners present at Vélo Vert Festival in Samoëns, and including their representatives and employees from any liability, for any reason whatsoever, accident, death or damage and for theft of personal belongings including his bike, whatever its nature, resulting from negligence in the selection, installation, maintenance, the setting and use of equipment and materials.


XIV- Course

During his participation in the chrono races and mountain bike activities  Vélo Vert Festival in Samoëns, the entrant agrees to submit the following documents when subscribing online or withdrawal of registration:

  • Licensee FFC: current year license with the mention competition
  • Licensee or FSGT UFOLEP: current year license. Please note, it is mandatory that the “cycling” is the discipline mentioned and the medical certificate is validated.
  • No – licensee: a medical certificate of non-cons to the practice of cycling competition older than 12 months to June 1, 2017 (original, scan or photocopy).

The participant agrees to be present at the briefing of the event or activity and that his bike is in perfect condition and equipped with a front and rear brake. The participant agrees to wear protection (helmets, gloves …) imposed and traveling the circuit in its entirety, without leaving the “trace” of the marked route, without taking shortcuts voluntarily and respecting the highway code on roads open to traffic. The participant agrees to respect the human, animal, natural, vegetable and urban (for example, it must not throw or leave your garbage in nature, on the taxiways and other place. It is the keep on it and put them in the recycling bins made available by the Organization). He agrees not to contest the decisions of local organizers or authorities and to respect the orders of the organizers. It undertakes to respect the regulations of the event or activity performed.

The participants needs to be present during each briefing and that his bike


XV- Compensation

The participant agrees, for himself and his heirs, to indemnify, defend and hold harmless, including on costs and attorneys’ fees. The Organiser and firms affiliates in CHLOROBIKE and their representatives and employees, for all claims and proceedings for personal injury, damage to property and third party directly or indirectly caused by an act or omission that occurred following the steering his bike or his participation in Vélo Vert Festival in Samoëns.


XVI- Publicity rights

16.1 Each participant agrees to grant the Organization permission to use his photographic and/or video images for the purpose of print, TV, Internet, under the terms and for the maximum allowed by law.

16.2 When removing Pass, each entrant agrees to be photographed by the Organization. The ID photo made on site ensures the proper functioning of the organization (control of access to tests and activities) and safety. This photo is made freely available to the participant in his personal space online on the Vélo Vert Festival website.
